The objective of the position is to assigned staff to the processes, technology and quality assurance in the die-casting production and ensure smooth production with minimal waste in a clean environment. This person oversees/performs the repair of tool issues or equipment and keep the downtime as short as possible. In the scope of the Alupress Production System, the team leader is a multiplier of change and is well qualified with regard to the topics of quality, employee leadership and problem solving. He is able to take on problems, ideas and suggestions and to find a successful solution. For his staff members, he is a role model and a competent partner regarding technical and organizational issues.

Duties:

Managerial Duties

Introduction and training of new employees,

Organization of shifts and bridging of break times,

Briefing on the operator in the various documents,

Ensuring of work safety,

Maintaining standards: regulations, TPM, 5S, documentation, audits.

Specialized Tasks

Planned/unplanned change-over and set up of die casting cells according to the specifications,

Ensuring the required quality together with the Quality department,

Overseeing/perform of tool and/or machine repairs in cooperation with the Tool-service and/or maintenance department,

Increasing OEE by analyzing downtime and initiating improvements,

Performing TPM/maintenance on the equipment,

Melting the aluminum and servicing it into the casting cells,

Documentation of deviations as well as quality and process problems in shift log,

Improvement of work processes,

Monitoring, documentation and archiving of processes.

The holder of the position must provide for his own health and safety as well as that of the other people present at the workplace upon whom his efforts or negligence can have an effect, doing so according to his training and the instructions and resources supplied by the employer. The team leader is the "extended arm" of the employer and in accordance with his responsibility and authority, he is required to:

- monitor and promote compliance with the safety regulations on the part of the staff,

- inform the direct supervisor in the case of continued disregard of the regulations,

- lead the employees out of danger zones in emergency situations and inform them immediately of hazardous situations,

- Remedy safety defects with regard to work equipment, personal protective equipment or other dangerous situations (stop production) and report this immediately to the employer or top supervisor.

Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Proficient in using software for design purposes.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Experience with hand tools and tooling equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
